Stephen oversees the firm’s wealth management teams and business development while working with Alan on strategic planning and the growth of Sage’s advisory service. He has over 30 years in the financial services industry. He has been named one of the most influential people in the investment world by The Wall Street Journal and SmartMoney Magazine, one of the top 40 business leaders under the age of 40 by the Philadelphia Business Journal, and was recognized by Philadelphia Magazine as one of “100 People to Watch.” Stephen co-authored The Sage Guide to Mutual Funds (HarperCollins).

Stephen graduated from Ithaca College with a B.S. in Finance and Economics. He serves on the Board of Directors at Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and is Chairman of the Mastery Charter School Board of Directors.
What inspires you about your job?
Having a small role in people’s personal success, whether they are colleagues or clients, provides real purpose to my work.
What particular qualities do you contribute to the Sage team and the client experience?
I believe founders can provide a unique competitive advantage for the company if they channel their strengths, perspective, and energy in the right direction. I try to lead by example, by working hard, being ethical, caring, and respectful.
