As a consultant, Orim provides strategic support to Sage’s Investment Division. He brings over 39 years of investment management experience and adds an additional level of independent, objective expertise that helps diversify and complement the perspective of our in-house team.

Orim was previously an Executive Director at the National Association of Securities Professionals, a Senior Vice President at Fiduciary Investment Solutions ($8.5B Assets Under Management), and CIO/Deputy CIO for the City of Philadelphia Board of Pensions and Retirement. In addition, Orim serves on the Board/Investment Committee of Dillard University, the Investment Committee of the Police and Fire Retirement System of Detroit, and the Board of Ben Franklin Technology Partners. He is a CFA charter holder.

Orim graduated from Hampton University with a B.S. in Finance and then went on to earn his M.B.A. in Investment Theory from the University of Wisconsin.

Why are you in investment management?

I have always been keen to understand the business proposition for various industries and companies and aid individuals in understanding how the investment industry operates. Moreover, I am inspired by the constant supply of new challenges and ideas to evaluate as the world becomes ever more complicated.

What do you love most about being part of Sage?

The quality of the people and the ethical nature with which they work to help their clients make smart, beneficial decisions in all areas of their financial lives.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

The accomplishments I cherish most are the thanks I receive from individuals I have helped along the way.
