Gary Mitchell, J.D.

Executive Wealth Manager

Gary brings more than two decades of experience navigating financial markets and supporting clients through complex decisions. Before joining Sage, he spent his investment career in portfolio management and client advisory roles where he developed a deep appreciation for the long-term nature of investing and the responsibility that comes with managing other people’s money. Gary spent the early part of his career as a regulatory, corporate, and M&A attorney.

Gary is motivated by the personal connection between advisors and the clients they serve. He is known for his integrity, clarity, and ability to translate sophisticated financial concepts into practical, long-term strategies. When asked what distinguishes his approach, Gary points to ambition clients and for the organization rather than himself — a mindset that aligns strongly with Sage’s collaborative and client-focused culture.

Gary earned an A.B. in Economics from Harvard College and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife, Lori, and their children, Isaac and Sloane, as well as Lola, the family’s Maltese. Outside the office, he enjoys exercising, golf, and watching both professional and amateur sports. He also remains active in the Harvard community, previously serving as President of the Harvard Club of Maryland and as a board member of the Harvard Alumni Association, and today interviews applicants to Harvard College.
